Pinotage, Kanonkop, Stellenbosch
About the product
Pinotage from Kanonkop, one of South Africa's most celebrated estates, on the slopes of the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch, made from old bush vines aged 30 to 65 years.
Pinotage is South Africa's own grape, a cross of Pinot Noir and Cinsault. Mulberry, raspberry and cinnamon on the nose; bramble, violets, plums and gentle oak on the palate, with firm, well integrated tannins and a long, savoury finish.
