Winetellect Tasting Set Level 2 · Wine Enthusiast
About the product
Six wines from Italy, France and Portugal and, at the end, a certificate with your name on it. Building on Level 1, this set opens up the great wine countries. You will learn to name the aromas of classic grapes, tell still, sparkling and fortified wines apart and, above all, read French and Italian labels, which often don't even show the grape.

The wines
1. Prosecco Spago DOC Treviso, Giovanni Bedin (Veneto): why Prosecco smells of fruit, not brioche
2. Sancerre Tradition, Domaine Roger & Christophe Moreux (Loire): a Sauvignon you won't find on the label
3. Pinot Grigio, Terre Siciliane IGT, Anterra (Sicily): a fresh, mineral Italian white
4. Chianti Superiore DOCG Organic, Castello del Trebbio (Tuscany): Sangiovese and Italy's top classification
5. Château Lys de Maisonneuve, Montagne Saint-Émilion (Bordeaux): blending and oak
6. Tawny Port, Quinta de Santa Eufemia (Douro): what fortified wine is
How it works
Taste in numbered order using the tasting sheet. Each wine comes with a simple task. Why is Prosecco so fresh and fruity? Why does the label say Sancerre and not Sauvignon? How does IGT differ from DOCG? Can you taste the oak in the Bordeaux? You don't have to finish the set in one evening, enjoy it at your own pace. And if you share it with friends, the tasting is even more fun. Every bottle has a QR code on the sheet, so you can easily reorder the wines you liked.
Whenever you're ready, enter the code at winetellect.com, take the Level 2 test and get a certificate with your name. The Level 2 e-book covers aroma profiles, wine types, wine faults and French and Italian wine law.
