Winetellect Aroma Training: White Wines (Le Nez du Vin 12 + Level 1 certification)

About the product

What you will experience

First you get to know the aromas with your eyes open and write down your own association for each one. Then you train blind, ideally in pairs: one hands over the vials, the other guesses. Over three rounds you will see your nose improve. Finally you open a bottle and look for the aromas in the glass. This is where training turns into real tasting: spot Sauvignon by its blackcurrant bud, Gewürztraminer by its lychee and oaked Chardonnay by its butter and toast.

Aromas in the kit
Lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, lychee, muscat, pear, hawthorn, honey, blackcurrant bud, butter, toast and toasted hazelnut.

The Winetellect training programme
A printed workbook by Wine Institute (24 pages). For each aroma: what it smells like, which wines to look for it in and what it tells you about the wine. Plus three rounds of blind training, exercises with aromas that are easily confused, a "name the grape by its nose" quiz and exercises with wine in the glass.
