What you will experience

First you get to know the aromas with your eyes open and write down your own association for each one. Then you train blind, ideally in pairs: one hands over the vials, the other guesses. Over three rounds you will see your nose improve. Finally you open a bottle and look for the aromas in the glass. This is where training turns into real tasting: spot Cabernet by its blackcurrant and green pepper, Syrah by its blackberry and pepper.

The Winetellect training programme
